Electronic cigarettes : helping beat the credit crunch
Posted by admin in News, tags: electric cigarette, electronic cigarettePubs and clubs in the popular seaside resort of Brighton, UK are introducing electronic cigarettes as a way of enticing customers back in to licensed premises during the credit crunch.
The Prince of Wales and the Regency Tavern in the city have began to stock the cigarettes as a means of beating the smoking ban and boosting takings to combat the current national down turn.
The landlord of the Regency Tavern in Russell Square, Brighton, Aron Barnes said: “It looks, feels and tastes like an ordinary cigarette.
“Because we don’t have an outside smoking area it’s something which we can offer to smokers as an alternative.
“It’s only the same as a nicotine patch except you can actually control how much goes into your system.
“The more we explain, the more and more people are trying them.”
This follows on from media reports last year on the BBC website that publicans feel the electronic cigarette is a great way of giving customers the tradition atmosphere of a British pubs while staying on the right side of the law.
